CIPP Technician (Cured-In-Place Pipe Installer)

Position Summary:
The CIPP Technician is responsible for installing cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners to rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer and stormwater pipelines. This position supports trenchless rehabilitation operations by preparing liners, operating installation equipment, and ensuring quality control throughout the curing process. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, mechanically inclined, and experienced in underground utility or construction work.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation, wet-out, and installation of CIPP liners.
• Operate boilers, inversion drums, compressors, and curing equipment.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, and curing times to ensure proper liner installation.
• Cut and reinstate service laterals using robotic cutting equipment.
• Set up traffic control and follow confined space entry procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-installation inspections with CCTV crews.
• Maintain and clean equipment, tools, and work vehicles.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies at all times.
• Complete daily job reports and quality control documentation.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Successfully pass Background check and Driving Record
• NASSCO PACP certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 1–3 years’ experience in CIPP, utilities, trenchless rehabilitation, or construction preferred.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with steam, hot water, or UV curing methods.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of municipal sewer systems and rehabilitation practices.

 

Work Environment:
Outdoor field work with exposure to wastewater, confined spaces, traffic conditions, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
