CIPP “Cured-In-Place Pipe” Installation Foreman

Position Summary:
The CIPP Foreman is responsible for supervising and leading trenchless rehabilitation crews in the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners for sanitary sewer and stormwater systems. This position oversees daily field operations, ensures quality control, enforces safety compliance, and coordinates with project managers, inspectors, and clients. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong technical knowledge of CIPP installation methods and municipal utility operations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct CIPP installation crews on active job sites.
  • Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Oversee liner preparation, wet-out, inversion, and curing (steam, hot water, or UV).
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and curing cycles to ensure quality installation.
  • Coordinate with CCTV crews for pre- and post-installation inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, confined space regulations, and traffic control requirements.
  • Conduct job site safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and make real-time operational decisions.
  • Maintain daily production reports, quality control documentation, and project logs.
  • Train and mentor technicians and helpers to develop crew capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CDL driver’s license required.
  • Successfully pass Background check and Driving Record
  • NASSCO PACP certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 3–5+ years of CIPP installation experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trenchless rehabilitation methods and municipal sewer systems.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with large-diameter CIPP installations.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read project plans and specifications.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.

 

Work Environment:
Outdoor field-based work involving exposure to wastewater environments, confined spaces, traffic conditions, heavy equipment operations, and varying weather conditions.
